FAQ

Questions & answers about group courses
Yes. Many adults start skiing later in life or take it up again after a long break. Our ski instructors are specially trained to teach adults safety, the basics and modern techniques at their own pace.
The adult ski course is suitable for beginners, those returning to skiing and advanced skiers. Groups are divided according to level/ability.
The Schneehasen ski course is suitable for children aged 3 and above. We recommend the full-day ski course for children aged 4 and above. For snowboard courses, we recommend a minimum age of 8.
Yes. The group courses are ideal for anyone who wants to start skiing or snowboarding again after a long break.
You can find the right level/skill level with our colour classification: green, blue, red, black.

Green: Beginners and those who cannot ski down a blue slope independently.
Blue: Independent skiing in snowplough on blue slopes, already skiing parallel when skiing diagonally.
Red: Skiing on red slopes in parallel, including in turns.
Black: Athletic skiing on all slopes and routes, deep snow, freeriding.
As a beginner, you will learn how to brake, turn, use the lift, and behave safely on the slopes. The goal is to be able to ski independently on blue slopes after a short time.
We will improve your technique, rhythm, and control. Depending on your level/skill level, you will practice parallel turns, carving techniques, proper edging, and safe skiing on blue/red slopes.

The meeting points are located at the following locations, depending on level/ability:

  • Children beginners (level/ability: green) Bunny Park
  • Adult beginners (level/ability: green) at the ski school office
  • All advanced children & adults (level/skill level: blue, red, black) Day 1 Alpe Elsa From day 2 at the Sunnegg mountain station platter lift
  • All snowboarders (levels/skill levels: green, blue, red, black) Uga-Express valley station
Yes. If the level is not optimal, regrouping usually takes place as quickly as possible.
On the first day, all participants meet at the meeting point, where administrative matters are clarified (showing tickets). The groups are divided according to ability, and after an equipment check, the lessons begin.
Advanced skiers and snowboarders can join a group course every day. Beginner skiers start on Sunday and beginner snowboarders on Monday.
There are no group courses on Saturdays. Private courses are available at any time upon request.
We have several teachers on our team who speak Dutch, English, Spanish, and French. We try to assign these teachers to the respective guests.
Yes, the Snow Bunny lessons (ages 3-4) can be booked from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. All other group courses are full-day courses.
If you book your tickets in advance, you can go directly to the meeting point with your booking confirmation. This saves you waiting time at the ski school office. If you book in advance in the online shop, a discount of 3% will be automatically deducted if the book value for group courses exceeds €1,000 incl. VAT, 4% if it exceeds €1,500 incl. VAT, and 5% if it exceeds €2,000 incl. VAT.
Lunchtime supervision takes place in various restaurants in the ski resort. It is best to ask your ski instructor where they have lunch. It is often better if parents do not come to see their children at lunchtime, as some children then no longer want to stay in the group.
Yes, it makes a difference. If you book three days first, you will then receive a connecting ticket. This is €15 per day more expensive than a 6-day ticket booked in advance.
Yes, one-day courses are available. However, we recommend several days for optimal progress.
A group must consist of at least 4 children/teenagers or 3 adults and snowboarders. If the group size decreases, the lesson time will be shortened. For an additional charge, the lesson time will not be shortened (please consult with the ski school office).
Children aged 3 and above can attend the Snow Bunny group (skiing only). For full-day ski courses, we recommend a minimum age of 4. For snowboard courses, we recommend a minimum age of 8.
Yes. If children and adults miss a day, this could mean that they are no longer able to keep up with the course and have to change groups. Furthermore, the group may disband after 3 days and we may no longer have a suitable group for you.
Yes, the final race takes place at the end of each week—on Friday. This is part of the lessons; a valid ski school ticket is required for this.
Grundsätzlich ist der Treffpunkt auch der Abholpunkt. Wenn Sie sich aber nicht sicher sind, fragen Sie einfach die*den Skilehrer*in Ihres Kindes.
For the “Aktion Kinderschnee” snow campaign, you will need a voucher from your rental company. Upon presentation of this voucher, you will receive a free 4-day group ski course ticket for your child aged 3 to 6 (children born between September 1 and December 31, 2019, and those born in 2020, 2021, and 2022) at the ski school office.
