No matter if big or small, skier or snowboarder, cross-country skier, powder snow, off-piste skiing or ski tourer, private lessons are suitable for all types of winter sports. Ideal for becoming familiar with the ski area Damüls-Mellau-Faschina and for learning or perfecting all carving techniques.
Your personal ski instructor and adviser will guide you to your desired success no matter if on your own, with friends or family.

If a private lesson cannot be booked in the online store, please send us an e-mail request, as we block the online store for private lessons in good time, especially during the high season.

Questions & Answers about Private Lessons

Can I still learn to ski as an adult?

Yes. Many adults start skiing later in life or take it up again after a long break. Our ski instructors are specially trained to teach adults safety, the basics and modern techniques at their own pace.

Who is the adult ski course suitable for?

The adult ski course is suitable for beginners, those returning to skiing and advanced skiers. Groups are divided according to level/ability.

How do I find the right level/skill level?

You can find the right level/skill level with our colour classification: green, blue, red, black.

Green: Beginners and those who cannot ski down a blue slope independently.
Blue: Independent skiing in snowplough on blue slopes, already skiing parallel when skiing diagonally.
Red: Skiing on red slopes in parallel, including in turns.
Black: Athletic skiing on all slopes and routes, deep snow, freeriding.

What will I learn in the course as a beginner?

As a beginner, you will learn how to brake, turn, use the lift, and behave safely on the slopes. The goal is to be able to ski independently on blue slopes after a short time.

What will I learn if I already know how to ski a little?

We will improve your technique, rhythm, and control. Depending on your level/skill level, you will practice parallel turns, carving techniques, proper edging, and safe skiing on blue/red slopes.

Are lessons available in Dutch, English, Spanish, and French?

We have several teachers on our team who speak Dutch, English, Spanish, and French. We try to assign these teachers to the respective guests.

Where is the meeting point for private lessons?

Unless otherwise agreed, the meeting point is at the ski school office.

How far in advance do I need to book a private ski instructor?

For organizational reasons, private lessons must be booked by 4 p.m. the day before at the latest. We cannot guarantee the availability of a ski instructor for last-minute bookings.

Do the private rates always apply to one person?

Yes, the private rates apply to one person. We charge a surcharge for each additional person.

Is there a high season surcharge for private tutors?

Yes, there is a high season surcharge of €10 per hour, including VAT.

Can a private day be split into two mornings?

No, it is not possible to split a one-day private course. The regular morning or afternoon rates apply.
